John Allan's Ocean is a Crossover Hit!
Everything at John Allan’s, the New York City salon-cum-men’s club, is, as the name implies, designed for men. But when director of client services Kimberly Proal snagged a bottle of the Ocean shampoo in a pinch one night, she discovered she loved it and kept coming back for more. She’s not the only woman to notice. “We get lots men buying it for their girlfriends, but we also get lots of women who just march right in and buy it,” She says. “It really moisturizes coarse, thick textures like mine, but it’s way lighter than creamier shampoos, which always weigh down my hair.” Plus, there’s the addictive, slightly beach smell.
